“Wade is a phenomenal player and has a bright season ahead of him,” said coach Albert Sumaya.

Arabella Mattison was selected for her accomplishments in girls lacrosse. She scored 15 goals and had 3 assists in the team’s first 4 games, helping the team to a 3-1 start.

Girls swimmer Cheyenne Brockie “is a standout athlete who truly embodies what Athlete of the Month represents,” said coach Tatiana Coover. “A junior and first-year swimmer, Cheyenne has already made an incredible impact on our program. Despite being new to the sport, she has outperformed some of our more seasoned swimmers and is currently the fastest athlete on our JV team.

“Beyond her natural talent, Cheyenne brings a level of maturity, positivity, and work ethic that elevates everyone around her. She is a multi-sport athlete with a bright personality and a team-first attitude, making her not only an exceptional competitor but also an outstanding role model. Cheyenne is an all-around incredible athlete and person, and she is more than deserving of this recognition.

“As her coach, I can confidently say she makes my job easier every single day. She is always eager to learn and improve, she listens carefully to feedback, and she consistently pushes herself to give her best effort. Cheyenne doesn’t just meet the standard — she raises it. As a female coach, she makes me incredibly proud of women in sports. She is an exceptional competitor, an incredible teammate, and an even better person. She is more than deserving of this recognition.”

Boys swimmer Aiden Brandon displayed times of a seasoned swimmer in his first meet of the season, said coach Shannon Stephenson.

“Aiden has wasted no time establishing himself as a key contributor to our swim program,” Stephenson said. “As a freshman, he is already posting times that reflect the composure and technical execution of a seasoned upperclassman. His performances in his first meet demonstrate not only natural ability, but preparation and confidence well beyond his experience level.”

Volleyball player Joshua Marcus Dillard had 14 digs in his last match.

“Josh’s dedication as a senior captain and libero really showcases how essential he is to our team,” said coach Diamonique Brogran. “He is someone the entire team looks up to.”

Boys lacrosse player Eric Morales “has achieved a respectable 60 percent save average in the goal in his short time with the team, rivaling some of the best goalkeepers in the valley,” said coach Shawn Hill. “Great job, number 15!”

Also named an Athlete of the Month was Eduardo Lopez, a key member of the boys tennis team.

Samantha Clark is the stat leader for the stunt cheer team.

“We are so proud to recognize Samantha as our Athlete of the Month for stunt, because she truly embodies everything this program stands for,” said coach Amy Frahn. “Samantha is not only an incredible athlete, but she is also a positive and dependable leader who sets the tone for our team every single day. As our stat leader, she consistently performs under pressure and delivers when it matters most, showing focus, strength, and confidence in every routine. Her work ethic is unmatched; she comes to practice ready to push herself and elevate those around her, never cutting corners and never backing down from a challenge.

“What makes Samantha even more special is the way she leads with encouragement and humility; she celebrates her teammates, lifts others up when they’re struggling, and keeps our energy high no matter the circumstances. She understands that stunt is built on trust and teamwork, and she actively strengthens that bond through her positivity and accountability. Samantha’s athletic ability, mental toughness, and leadership make her such a valuable part of this team, and this recognition is so well deserved.”
