A Menifee man died Sunday night in a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, police said.
The incident took place about 7 p.m. in the area of Jefferson Avenue and Via Montezuma in Temecula, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The pedestrian, identified as 56-year-old Michael McClellan of Menifee, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was interviewed at the scene and no arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing; no other details were released.
