MUSD earned recognition as a 2026 California Honor Roll Star District, while five schools were individually recognized as Star Schools:

  • Evans Ranch Elementary School
  • Harvest Hill S.T.E.A.M. Academy
  • Herk Bouris Elementary School
  • Quail Valley Elementary School
  • Sally Buselt Elementary School

The California Honor Roll recognizes schools and districts across the state for academic performance. This year’s recognition reflects the dedication of MUSD educators, administrators, support staff, students, and families who work together to create learning environments where students can succeed.

“Being recognized as a California Honor Roll district, along with five of our schools, is an incredible accomplishment for our entire MUSD community,” said Dr. Jennifer Root, Superintendent of Menifee Union School District. “Behind this recognition are dedicated teachers and staff who show up every day with a commitment to helping students succeed. I am so proud of our students for their hard work and of our school communities for continuing to create opportunities for every child to learn, grow, and thrive.”

The 2026 California Honor Roll includes schools and districts from across the state, with MUSD among six Riverside County school districts receiving district-level recognition. The recognition is particularly meaningful as it celebrates both the district’s collective efforts and the accomplishments of individual school communities.

For MUSD, the recognition reinforces the importance of strong instruction, meaningful student engagement, and the partnerships between schools and families. Across the district’s 18 schools, educators and staff continue working to provide high-quality educational experiences that support the academic and personal growth of every student.

“As a Board of Education, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the hard work happening in our classrooms receive recognition,” said J. Kyle Root, President of the Menifee Union School District Board of Education. “These accomplishments are a reflection of the people who make our schools special, from our teachers and support staff to our students and families. We are incredibly proud of these five schools and of the district as a whole. This recognition gives our community another reason to be proud of the education taking place right here in Menifee Union.”

While the Honor Roll celebrates specific achievements, MUSD remains focused on building upon this success and ensuring that all students have access to the opportunities, resources, and support they need to reach their full potential.

Menifee Union School District congratulates Evans Ranch Elementary, Harvest Hill S.T.E.A.M. Academy, Herk Bouris Elementary, Quail Valley Elementary, and Sally Buselt Elementary on this achievement and extends its appreciation to the entire MUSD community for its continued commitment to educational excellence.
