Throughout the day, longtime staff and volunteers were recognized for their dedication and lasting impact on the Club and the youth the Club serves. Student athletes participating in soccer, basketball, and flag football were honored with awards including MVP, Sportsmanship, Defensive Player, Rising Star, Female Player, and Team Player.

Members of the taekwondo and keyboard clubs wowed the crowd with performances that highlighted their hard work and talent. Board Chair Bill Zimmerman, staff, and Club members also shared some of their favorite memories from their time at the current clubhouse, making it a special opportunity to reflect on all the lives and memories that have filled the building over the years.

“As the Club prepares to move to Freedom Crest Elementary School on July 1 and continue summer camp at the new location, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration so memorable,” said Julia Burch, assistant director of development for the Club. “A special thank you to Raising Cane’s and Starbucks for providing refreshments, Chef Rosie and her team for serving delicious pancakes, Mr. Rogato for grilling hot dogs, DJ Shawn with SEB Sounds for keeping the energy high with great music, and Club member Gunnar for capturing the event with his incredible photography.”
