“Jolie has been a part of our aquatics programs at Liberty High for the last four years,” said coach Hailey Badham. “She has put in so much time and effort ensuring her development within the sport. The amount of improvement that she has made is incredible. She is a bright light to our entire team, constantly making everyone laugh but also taking her role as team captain seriously and making sure her team is holding themselves accountable.

“Her dedication, sportsmanship, and positivity have helped shape the team’s culture in all the best ways. We’re proud of everything she’s accomplished and excited to see all the great things ahead for her.”

Boys basketball player Benjamin Hyde “had an amazing November with not only on-court success, but maintaining a high GPA and strong leadership role within the team,” said coach Jacoby Herring. “He helped us win in overtime in the Tiger Classic Tournament against San Jacinto High School by making a 3-pointer to tie the game up while scoring double digits average over that four-game winning streak to get there. His character is contagious and literally what any coach would ask for in a leader.”

Wrestler Anna Bozanic “has had an extraordinary start to the season, proving once again why she stands among the elite in her sport,” said her coach. “Competing at 235 pounds, Anna has dominated every tournament she has entered, earning three consecutive championship titles with a level of control and intensity that sets her apart. She is currently 15–0 on the season, with all 15 wins coming by pin, and she has consistently finished at the top of the leaderboard in total match points scored at each event.

“Across the Adelanto Girls Wrestling Tournament, the Girl on Fire Tournament, and the Magnolia Lady Sents Invitational, Anna has remained undefeated while delivering a remarkable series of rapid falls — including multiple pins under two minutes. Her performances earned her not only the highest team points at every tournament but also the Outstanding Wrestler Award for the upper weight divisions at the Girl on Fire Tournament.

“Ranked number one in the state and eighth in the nation for her weight class, Anna continues to raise the standard for what it means to be a top competitor. Beyond her athletic achievements, she brings leadership, focus, and a consistently positive presence to the team. Her dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence inspire those around her and contribute to the strong culture within the program. We are incredibly proud of Anna’s accomplishments and excited to see her continue her outstanding senior season.”

Girls basketball player Malaya Baker is in the top three in all statistical categories across the board for the Bison. She’s averaging 10 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and 1 block per game.

“Malaya has been in the basketball program on varsity for all three years and is one of the most dedicated kids with great energy,” said coach Fred Yepez.
