Two police officers and an unspecified number of civilians were transported to a hospital for evaluation after a three-vehicle collision Saturday night in Menifee.
The collision occurred at approximately 6:44 p.m. at the intersection of Menifee Road and Scott Road, according to a Menifee Police Department news release. Two officers in a single patrol unit were responding to an Assist Fire call for service when a collision with two civilian vehicles occurred in the intersection.
CAL FIRE and American Medical Response responded and provided medical aid. Out of an abundance of caution, those involved were transported to a nearby hospital. No details of their medical conditions were released.
The intersection was closed during the investigation.
