Two Santa Rosa Academy track and field athletes performed well at the CIF-SS Division 4 finals Saturday at Moorpark High School.
Alena Gibas finished 6th in the girls discus competition with a mark of 96-11, earning her a medal. In the boys discus, Anthony Sullivan just missed out on a medal with a 7th-place 130-9.

Although they didn’t qualify for the Masters Meet, Gibas and Sullivan made great progress for two throwers who weren’t even ranked in Division 4 at the start of the season.
“We are incredibly proud of them for representing the entire SRA community so well,” said coach John Hernandez. “We’ll reload and run it back next year. This has truly been a history making and record-breaking season for our fledgling program.”
