City announces schedule for ‘Park After Dark’ summertime activities

MENIFEE — The City of Menifee is excited to kick off its annual summer “Park After Dark” series featuring movies, concerts, and family-friendly activities for the whole community to enjoy. All events are free to attend and take place on Friday nights from 7-10 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to relax and enjoy the movies and concerts under the stars. While the Moonlight Markets feature a variety of food vendors, Movies in the Park attendees are welcome to bring snacks and a picnic dinner.

Movie in the Park & Adaptive Sports Fair

Join us for an evening of inclusive, family-friendly fun and a movie under the stars featuring “National Treasure” on Friday, May 22 at Remington Park (27101 Junipero Road). This event includes adaptive sports games, resource booths for all abilities, and a special gold panning activity hosted by the Menifee Valley Historical Society.

Movies in the Park

Bring your blankets, chairs, picnic dinner/snacks, and enjoy a movie under the stars! Upcoming movies and activities include:

— Friday, May 29 at Banner Village Park (29469 Falcon Hill Drive)

Movie: “Cars” with a classic car display presented by Sun City Cruizers

— Friday, July 31 at La Ladera Park (29629 La Ladera Road)

Movie: “The Sandlot” with onsite dog adoptions and microchipping vouchers presented by Animal Friends of the Valley

Menifee Moonlight Markets and Concerts

Spend the evening at the park with family and friends enjoying live music, food, and shopping. Upcoming performances include:

Go Skate Day and Movie in the Park

Show off your skills and enjoy free giveaways at Audie Murphy Ranch Skate Park (30501 Rattle Dance Way) on Friday, June 19 from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Spend the day skating, then stick around for a screening of  “America: Brave New World “(PG-13) at dusk!

Shakespeare in Sun City

Enjoy “Twelfth Night”, Shakespeare’s lively comedy performed by Full Circle Players, on Friday, July 24 at Sun City Civic Association Amphitheater (26850 Sun City Blvd.). This evening will also feature artisan craft vendors, a variety of food vendors, and the Creative Makers Corner.
