Storm gets back on winning track in Ontario, 4-3

After losing on a controversial call in the bottom of the 10th inning in game 1 of this 6-game series against the Ontario Tower Buzzers at ONT Field on Tuesday, the Lake Elsinore Storm bounced back with a 4-3 win in game 2 on Wednesday night.

The Buzzers got off to an early 2-0 lead in the 3rdĀ inning on a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly. The Storm tied the game in the top of the 4thĀ inning on a single by right fielder George Bilecki and a sacrifice fly from designated hitter Qrey Lott.

Lake Elsinore took the lead for good in the 5thĀ inning when catcher Victor Duarte hit a 2-run home run to center field. Ontario scored once more in the 6thĀ when first baseman Easton Shelton hit a home run off Storm reliever Carson Swilling.

Canadian native Vicarte Domingo pitched the final 2 innings of the game to earn his second save of the year.

The Storm improved to 13-10 on the year and stay tied for first place in the California League’s South Division. The third game of the series gets underway tonight at 6:35Ā at ONT Field in Ontario. Ā
