Mayor Ricky Estrada, who serves as a reservist in the U.S. Air Force, has returned to his mayoral duties following an overseas military deployment which began in October 2025.
“It is great to be back home and in our beautiful country,” said Mayor Estrada. “It’s important I thank all of you who reached out and shared your moral support with me while I was away. Your encouragement and support helped keep the fight going.”
During Mayor Estrada’s deployment, the City of Menifee maintained government continuity and had plans in place to ensure that City services and operations continued uninterrupted.
“We are thankful for the Mayor’s safe return and appreciate his service to our country,” said Mayor Pro Tem Bob Karwin, who served as the acting mayor during Mayor Estrada’s military deployment. “We look forward to reengaging him in all the great work that has been going on here in Menifee.”
Mayor Estrada will be in attendance at the next City Council meeting on Wednesday, May 6 starting at 6 p.m. at Menifee City Hall (29844 Haun Road).
