Paloma Valley girls soccer season ends in CIF semifinal loss

An impressive season ended for the Paloma Valley girls soccer team Saturday in a 2-0 loss at Crescenta Valley in the CIF-SS Division 3 semifinals.

The Wildcats compiled a 14-7-5 record this season. They defeated Northwood, South Hills and La Salle in the playoff to reach the semifinals.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this group and the way they represented our program and school this season,” said coach Katelyn Fregosi. “Making it to the final four is never easy. This team put in the work all season and proved they belonged there.

“This senior group helped establish a culture that will continue to set the tone moving forward, and our younger players fully embraced that standard. It’s hard to see it end, but I’m excited for the future of this program because of the foundation this entire team built together.”
