The event will begin at noon in the Paloma Valley gym. The Wildcats will wrestle against Norwalk in the first round. Overall, 16 schools will compete in the event, which includes three rounds in one day.

The two finalists will meet in the Division 2 dual meet championship match Feb. 5 at the site of the school with the highest ranking in the final poll.

Heritage will compete in the girls Division 3 duals at Lakewood High. The Patriots boys team will compete in the Division 6 duals at Lancaster High. Paloma Valley chose not to compete in the boys duals in order to focus on the upcoming individual CIF meets.

The Paloma Valley boys are still celebrating their recent 40-34 victory over Canyon Springs, which clinched the league title for the Wildcats. They have won eight of the last nine league titles with a league record of 37-1 during that stretch.

Winners in the match against Canyon Springs included Will Leyva, Brayden Barr, Uriel Cruz, Brandon Owen, Travis Ledesma, Lennon Tinuai, and Nate Flores.

Members of the boys team will have the opportunity to qualify for the CIF individual prelims during league finals, which will be held Feb. 7 at Arlington High. The prelims are scheduled for Feb. 13-14.
