Menifee 24/7 honors Heritage High Athletes of the Month

Menifee 24/7 is pleased to honor Athletes of the Month for October at Heritage High School. Honorees were selected by the coaches of their respective sports and were recognized with a presentation of certificates and photo opportunity on campus.

Alyssa Duron is the Athlete of the Month for girls golf. She had the second best average on the team and had her lowest scoring round of the season on 0Oct. 7 against Hemet.

Kali Lewis is a first-year JV Cheerleader at HHS. In addition to cheer, Kali is also in AVID and FFA.

“Kali always works hard at everything she does,” said her coach, Amy Frahn. “She puts forth the extra effort to make sure she perfects each routine or cheer that we do. She is a strong backspot and she is always so kind to everyone she speaks to. Her attitude and perseverance sets her apart from the rest. She has truly been an extraordinary asset to our team.”

Sophomore cross country runner Anthony Robles “trains hard, he is dedicated, and he is constantly improving this season,” said coach Adam Cyhan. “He is our best runner in cross country at HHS.”

Senior quarterback Elijah Sanchez was selected from the football team. He was a team captain and led the Patriots into the CIF playoffs.

 

“Elijah made a major difference in the team’s performance during the second half of the season,” said coach Richard McClure. “He provided much-needed leadership to an accomplished offense.”
