Menifee woman among 17 arrested in retail theft operation

A Menifee woman was among 17 individuals arrested on Friday in a retail theft operation conducted by the Perris Sheriff’s Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team, authorities said.

Sally Arrellanes, 46, of the Sun City community in Menifee was arrested for petty theft with priors, probation violation, identity theft, and committing a felony while on bail, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department.

Arrellanes was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning and faces an Aug. 5 court date at the Riverside Hall of Justice.

The enforcement operation was conducted in the 1600 and 1800 blocks of Perris Boulevard in Perris.

“The operation was designed to proactively address retail theft and ensure the safety and well-being of both businesses and shoppers in the area,” the press release stated. “Throughout the operation, several individuals were observed stealing merchandise. Each suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident. The juveniles were cited and released to their parents.”

Most of those arrested are residents of Perris and Moreno Valley.
