The Menifee Planning Commission will consider plans for a 104-unit townhome development at its July 8 meeting.
The project, known as Del Oro Townhomes, would bring 104 townhomes to the northwest corner of Holland Road and Palomar Road in Menifee. The zoning designation for the site is High Density Residential and allows between 20.1 and 24 dwelling units per acre.
According to city documents, the development would include a main access point on Palomar Road and an exit-only access point on Holland Road. Planned amenities include an open turf area, barbecue facilities, shade structures, a tot lot, picnic tables, dog stations and a walking loop around the perimeter of the property.
City staff is recommending adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration related to potential biological resource impacts associated with the project. According to the notice, the city determined the development would not have a significant effect on the environment with mitigation measures in place.
The Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the project during its regular meeting at 6 p.m. July 8 at Menifee City Hall.
The project’s environmental review documents are available for public review through June 30. Members of the public may submit written comments to the city before the July 8 hearing or provide testimony during the meeting. The Planning Commission will consider all public comments before deciding on the proposed project.
