A teenager from Homeland was killed Sunday in a crash involving three off-road vehicles on a dirt road in a hilly section of Romoland, authorities said.
The coroner identified the deceased as Ivan Zenteno, age 18. According to the California Highway Patrol, Zenteno was riding a Yamaha ATV when, for reasons under investigation, he collided with another Yamaha ATV and a 2025 Can-Am about 7:05 p.m. The collision occurred on Gunther Road just south of McIntyre Road, northeast of the Menifee city limits.
Zenteno was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel.
Alcohol/drugs are not suspected in this crash.
