The Menifee City Council last week honored a resident who has accomplished something most people never will. Lillian Roach recently turned 103 years old.
Chosen for the honor by Mayor Pro Tem Bob Karwin on the recommendation of Linda Blanche, Lillian received a commendation from the council before an audience filled with family and friends.

Mayor Ricky Estrada, back at the dais following a six-month deployment, took part in the ceremony.
“You are a treasure to our city,” Estrada said. “God bless you.”
