Menifee Police announced Tuesday they have taken possession of the vehicle believed to be involved in the collision that killed a 15-year-old Menifee boy on Aug. 12.
In an updated press release, MPD stated that on Aug. 15, they took into possession of a white 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan as part of the investigation into the hit-and-run death of Koa Quintanilla on Briggs Road north of Garbani Road at 8:19 p.m. on Aug. 12.
No other information was released. The investigation to identify and apprehend the driver of that vehicle at the time of the collision is ongoing.
Koa, who was riding an e-motorcycle, was found laying unresponsive in the road after the suspect vehicle fled the scene. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
