Errors hurt the Rangers in the top of the 7th, said coach Rachelle Aguirre. Then in the bottom of the 7th, SRA loaded the bases with 2 outs before a pop-up ended the game. Santa Rosa Academy ended its season with an 8-9 record.

Olivia Degen hit a 2-run home for the Rangers. Zhoey Heraz was the losing pitcher.

“Zhoey pitched 2 great CIF games,” Aguirre said about Heraz, who beat Environmental Charter 15-5 in the first round. “Paloma Pedini hit a grand slam in that game, too. We had it! We are such a better team … total heartbreak.”
