The southbound off-ramp of the 215 Freeway at Clinton Keith Road was closed this morning for an investigation following a shooting on the freeway, the CHP announced.

At about 12:33 a.m., a 34-year-old male from Murrieta was riding a motorcycle south on the freeway north of Clinton Keith when he was shot in the leg. The male stopped on the shoulder and went to a local business for help. He was transported to a local hospital.

The CHP initially closed all southbound lanes, but they re-opened at 7:40 a.m. The off-ramp remained closed a while longer before re-openiong.
