Prep roundup: Heritage pounds out 15 hits in 10-0 win over Perris

Dominic Reyes was 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs Friday as the Heritage Patriots used a 15-hit attack to defeat visiting Perris High, 10-0.

Diego Molina and Wade Johnson had 2 hits each for the Patriots, who improved their record to 4-2. Aaron Villareal had a hit and scored 2 runs. Van-Michael Sparks drove in 2 runs.

Molina allowed 1 hit in 3 innings on the mound, striking out 5 and walking 5.

Elsewhere, King High scored 9 runs in the second inning en route to a 14-8 victory over Paloma Valley (2-4). The visitors collected five hits in that inning off Paloma Valley starter Holden Pettit. Mario Villegas pitched 3.1 innings of relief for the Wildcats.

Clinton Glass and Ryan Christman had 2 RBIs each for Paloma Valley.

In softball, Julianna Larson hit 2 home runs and finished with 4 RBIs in Liberty’s 5-1 win over Hemet. Brooklyn Rackstraw was the winning pitcher, giving up just six hits and 1 run.

The Paloma Valley softball team scored 9 runs in the first inning and defeated Notre Dame, 15-4. Brooke Bobbette went 3 for 3. Brooklyn Berni doubled home a run to make it 10-0 in the second inning.

Kadie Urban was the Wildcats’ winning pitcher, allowing 6 hits and 4 runs in 5 innings of work.
