The Rangers improved their record to 8-4-6 and advanced to the second round on Saturday at Saddleback.

Jayleen Mendoza, Venecia Salcedo, Kyany Tran, and Isabelle Lumamba all scored goals.

“Overall, I was really happy for the girls,” said coach Morgan Wood. “We went into the game not knowing a whole lot about the opposing team, and I thought we fought hard for the win. Being such a young team, I’m very happy for the girls that they get to have this experience of moving on to round 2.”
