A great season came to a close on Thursday when Liberty High School lost a 1-0 decision to Sonora in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 5 girls soccer playoffs.
The Bison won the Sunbelt League championship this season and took a 12-2-2 record into the playoffs. Although the postseason ended too early, coach Juan Romero was impressed with the team’s performance this year.
“Congratulations to Sultana. We will be back even better next year,” Romero said.
