Izabella Duarte led all scorers with 30 points Friday night as the Heritage High girls basketball team easily defeated Valley View, 79-33.
The Patriots blew the game open by outscoring the opposition 51-14 in the second quarter. Heritage improved its record to 15-10 (4-3 in league for third place).
LaKaila Trimble contributed to the victory with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Bria Lewis and Tamia Jackson scored 9 each. The Patriots will be back in action at home against Moreno Valley on Wednesday.
