The Wildcats’ first goal was scored by captain Ethan Trepanier on a tap-in off a corner kick. The second goal was scored by Arturo Aguilar, who beat the goalkeeper one-on-one.

“The boys played well,” said coach Carlos Duran. “Collectively, they played a very strategic and tactical game. They minimized mistakes today, which resulted in a win. Overall, every boy did his job, applied lots of pressure, and caused for the most part a dominance in ball possession.

“Their team came out with some great energy in the second half and had some opportunities, but our defensive line and midfield stayed very disciplined to their assignments.”

The Wildcats play at Jurupa Valley on Monday. Liberty, which is 0-3 this season, will host Tahquitz on Tuesday.
