Santa Rosa Academy jumped out to an early lead and built on it throughout the game Monday night in scoring a 69-51 victory over Redlands Adventist Academy in the first boys basketball game of the season.
The Rangers led 20-12 after the first quarter and held a 41-23 advantage at halftime.
Mycah Mason led the team with 20 points, shooting 70 percent from the field. Cory Moore scored 18 and Christian Gonzalez had 14. Gonzalez and Elijah Brewer had 5 rebounds each.
Santa Rosa will be at home again tonight at 7 p.m. against Sherman Indian, following a 5:30 p.m. girls basketball match-up between the same two schools.
