Paloma Valley High School opened the football season on a winning note Friday night, scoring a 14-10 victory at Temescal Canyon.
Junior quarterback Josh Gonzales scored on a 50-yard run for the Wildcats. He also threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Alvarado.
“We were down 10-0 in the third and managed to battle back and hold on for the win,” coach Juan Merida said. “Hats off to TC; they battled.”
