Paloma Valley girls lacrosse team defeats rival Heritage, 11-8

Riley Beltran scored 7 goals, Eliana Orosco scored 3 goals, and Austin Danko had a goal and 3 assists Tuesday to lead the Paloma Valley High School girls lacrosse team to an 11-8 win over Heritage.

The Wildcats improved their overall record to 10-2. They are now 6-0 in league play.

“We were down two players due to penalties for a majority of the second half,” said coach James Murphy. “It was a game of grit and who wanted it more. Even down players, we still maintained and kept pace to keep the goals coming and maintain the win. I’m proud of the girls and what they showed me tonight.”

In other action on Tuesday, Santa Rosa Academy was victorious in boys volleyball (3-1 over California Military Institute) and in softball (18-3 over San Jacinto Valley Academy). The Rangers baseball team lost a 12-7 decision to San Jacinto Valley Academy.
