The Mt. San Jacinto College football team put it all together last weekend in a 71-0 victory over LA Southwest at home.
MSJC scored almost immediately and carried a commanding 57–0 lead into halftime. Quarterback Julian Silva connected with Khalil Lang, Omari Wilcox, and JT Trevino, who each found the end zone. Running back Jeremiah Walthour found the end zone multiple times, while the special-teams unit blocked a punt and returned it for another touchdown.
MSJC’s defense dominated from start to finish. The defensive line kept constant pressure on the LA Southwest quarterbacks, while the secondary locked down the passing game and recorded multiple interceptions. Together, they completed the shutout and held LA Southwest scoreless for the entire game.
MSJC improved to 2–1 and returns home Saturday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. to face Southwestern.
