A public hearing for a proposed 240-unit multifamily development in Menifee has been continued to Sept. 9.
The Menifee Planning Commission voted Wednesday to continue the hearing for Boulders II. Â
The project is proposed on approximately 10 acres about 600 feet east of Berea Road and northeast of the end of Normandy Road, according to a public hearing notice.
Plans call for 240 multifamily units with a density of about 23.7 units per acre. The project would require changes to the property’s land use designation and zoning to allow for higher-density residential development.
Plans also include 378 parking spaces, a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, business center, tot lot, barbecue areas, dog park and pickleball court. Existing hillsides along the southern and southwestern portions of the property would be preserved.
The city determined the project would not have a significant effect on the environment with mitigation and is recommending adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration.
