Quarterback Mandi Ball passed for two touchdowns and ran for another TD Monday night in leading the Paloma Valley flag football team to a 35-20 victory over Heritage.
Ball threw touchdown passes to Paige Barron (10 yards) and Emmilie Leon (12 yards). She also ran 10 yards for a TD as the Wildats improved their record to 3-4. This was their league opener.
Isabella Diaz also played a key role, running 40 yards for a touchdown and returning an interception for a touchdown. The Wildcats are at home against Citrus Hill today at 6:15 p.m.
“Overall, we like what we are seeing and are proud of the hard work we are putting in as a team,” said coach Orell Colbert.
Heritage’s record dropped to 1-5. The Patriots are at home against Orange Vista tonight at 5:30 p.m.
