The Paloma Valley High baseball team was eliminated from the CIF-SS Division 5 baseball playoffs on Friday in a 2-1 loss at Citrus Valley.
The host Blackhawks scored a run in the 5th inning to break a 1-1 tie and held on for the victory, improving their overall record to 14-14. The loss by the Wildcats, also 14-14, leaves Menifee with no baseball teams still in the playoffs after the first round.

Paloma Valley’s only run came on a home run by Brendon Harper in the 4th inning. The Wildcats had only 5 hits in the game. Pitcher Clinton Glass pitched a complete game and allowed only 5 hits himself, with 7 strikeouts.
