Arthur Stringer leaped into the Paloma Valley High School sports record books Saturday, placing second in the CIF State meet in the triple jump.

Stringer, CIF Masters champion in the previous meet, finished as the runner-up with a jump of 49-9 3/4. That was close behind state champion Dane Malloy of Aliso Niguel (49-11 1/4).
Congratulations to Arthur for his historic performance!
