Three students from each of the three Menifee area schools in the Perris Union High School District were recently honored with Riverside County Student Academic Awards for their performance over the last four years.
The students were honored during a ceremony on April 21 in Riverside. More than 650 parents, principals, trustees, and superintendents attended. Each high school was asked to select between one and three top students based on their enrollment in grades 9-12.
“Each school district established its own selection criteria, which included consideration of student grade-point averages, class rankings, extracurricular activities, community service, and other factors,” a press release stated.
Honorees from Heritage High School are Micah Alviola, Aileen Osio, and Jun Shuo Yang,
Honorees from Liberty High School are Arienna Ama, Jayden Torres, and Ceren Yilmaz.
Honorees from Paloma Valley High School are Dang Khoa Dao, Miley Lundstrom, and Kaliah Salazar Cataluna.
“These students are living proof of the Riverside County Office of Education pledge that ensures our graduates are prepared for college, the workforce, and civic responsibility,” said Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edwin Gomez. “These top scholars and leaders are a shining example of why the future is bright for our region, state, and nation.”
