Police were at Wheatfield Park Wednesday morning at the scene of a fatality. At the scene, Sgt. Josh Fernandez said that an adult was found hanging from a tree next to the southern fence of the park beyond a baseball field along Menifee Road.
According to a Menifee PD news release, “At approximately 8 a.m., officers responded to a report from juveniles regarding a possible suicide at Wheatfield Park.
“Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male. Based on the preliminary investigation, there are no indications of foul play.
“Volunteers from the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) responded to the scene to provide emotional support to the reporting juveniles and any witnesses.”
