Paloma Valley softball team ranked in top 10 in Inland Empire

Accolades for the highly successful Paloma Valley High School softball team keep coming, with the latest being a top 10 ranking in the Fox Sports rankings.

The latest Inland Empire softball poll for Fox Sports 1350, which covers the Riverside and San Bernardino regions, has the Wildcats ranked No. 8. Paloma’s 13-2 overall record has certainly caught the eye of pollsters and the media.

Among those leading the way for the Wildcats is pitcher Kaydence Koepsell, who has started nine of the team’s 13 games. She has 86 strikeouts and just 16 walks with a 1.62 ERA. Opponents are hitting just .227 against her.

Offensively, Laura Liera is hitting .558 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs. Lynda Guerra is batting .548 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs.

The Wildcats are off this week before resuming action April 6 at Rancho Christian.
