An impressive season by the Paloma Valley High School girls water polo team came to an end Tuesday in a 9-6 loss to Notre Dame High of Sherman Oaks in the second round of the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs.
Kaylee Gutierrez led the Wildcats with 4 goals. Maya Lawrence and Sienna Pospisil each scored a goal, while Danica Munoz had 2 assists. Goalkeeper Matilyn Knowlton had 15 blocked shots.
“I am so proud of the girls,” said coach Joe Ellet. “They played with their whole hearts and left nothing in the pool. They had a great season and I am pleased with the progress they made this year.”
The Wildcats end the season with a 20-9 record.
