Six wrestlers went undefeated on the day as the Paloma Valley High School girls wrestling team advanced to the semifinal round before losing in the CIF Division 2 dual meet championships on Saturday.
In the event, which was hosted by Paloma Valley, the Wildcats defeated Norwalk 45-36 in the first round and El Toro (41-41) in the quarterfinals before losing to Santa Fe 42-36 in the semifinals.
Undefeated wrestlers for Paloma Valley were Reynalyn Geronimo, Bryleigh Delis, Jiana Rivera, Melissa Moreno, Lynda Guerra, and Alexis Streeter.
The Paloma Valley girls and boys teams will compete in the league finals Feb. 7 at Arlington High. Heritage and Liberty will be in that event as well.
Santa Fe will meet host Chaparral in the girls Division 2 dual meet finals on Feb. 5.
