Santa Rosa Academy put together a complete performance on Tuesday night, overwhelming Nuview Bridge 71–17 behind relentless defense and balanced scoring.

The Rangers set the tone early, jumping out to a 15–4 first-quarter lead and never letting up. By halftime, Santa Rosa Academy had stretched the advantage to 31–12, then blew the game open with a 20-point third quarter. A suffocating fourth-quarter defense held Nuview Bridge scoreless to close out the night.

Offensively, Santa Rosa Academy shared the ball and knocked down shots from all over the floor, finishing 42 percent from the field and an impressive 43 percent from 3-point range (12  for 28). Cory Moore led all scorers with 20 points and added 5 steals and 4 assists, while Christian Gonzalez also filled the stat sheet with 15 points, 9 assists, and 8 steals. Mycah Mason added 9 points and steady play on both ends, and multiple Rangers contributed scoring and defensive energy throughout the rotation.

Defensively, the Rangers were dominant, forcing 35 turnovers and recording 28 steals, turning pressure into easy scoring opportunities. Santa Rosa Academy also controlled the paint with 6 blocks and consistent activity on the glass.

The win moves Santa Rosa Academy forward with strong momentum as they continue league play, showcasing depth, discipline, and a defensive identity that continues to define their season. The Rangers are now 10-5 this season.

“I personally was impressed with how well we played, given the fact we took the whole winter break off,” said coach Tom Crunk. “A lot of times after a long break, it can take time to gain momentum and play with the identity that you fought so hard for in the first half of the season.

“The biggest win for me from a coaching standpoint is there was no drop-off in energy and focus, regardless of who we put on the floor.”
