The Bison had great momentum early in the game, but due to turnovers late in the second quarter, it began to diminish with nearly every play.

Caius Nile was the standout player for the Bison with 16 points and 5 rebounds. It seemed like the Eagles’ defense was powerless whenever Nile got the ball in his hands. But the Eagles seemed to catch on to the Bison’s game plan, which was to get Nile the ball whenever possible. After the first half, he started to get double-teamed and was forced to take difficult shots for the remainder of the game.

The Bison struggled to move the ball as the Eagles’ defense was lights out nearly the entire game. This forced the Bison to play defense for the majority of the game, and they limited the Eagles’ shots from beyond the arc. The Bison held the Eagles to only 8 3-point attempts the whole game. This resulted in the Eagles having to play aggressively and go hard in the paint to try to get any points they could.

The fourth quarter was the best quarter of the night for the Bison. They recorded 15 points and were playing like they had a chip on their shoulder to try to pull off a comeback. This fell short because the Eagles kept possession of the ball for most of the two minutes left in the quarter.

With the loss, the Bison’s record drops to 8-11 on the season. They look to get back in the win column when they take on Hillcrest High on Jan. 14.
