Two people were arrested for DUI offenses during a DUI/DL checkpoint on Dec. 13, police said.
One individual was arrested for DUI alcohol and a second person was arrested for DUI drugs during the checkpoint, in which 1,370 vehicles were screened near the intersection of Newport Road and Murrieta Road between the hours of 7 p.m. and 2 a.m., according to a Menifee Police Department news release.
In addition, 66 vehicles were stopped for various violations and 24 citations were issued. Eight drivers were cited for driving without a license and three vehicles were towed.
