Adult male e-bike rider injured in rear-end collision with vehicle

An adult male riding an e-bike suffered serious injuries when the bike rear-ended a vehicle on Newport Road Saturday night.

The collision occurred about 5 p.m. on eastbound Newport Road right at the intersection with Antelope Road, said Menifee police Sgt. Fernandez. The e-bike rider was transported to a local hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Cause of the collision is under investigation. Some traffic lanes approaching and leaving the intersection were closed during the initial investigation.
