Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision near Canyon Lake

A motorcyclist received “significant injuries” and was transported to a local hospital after crashing on Railroad Canyon Road Tuesday night, authorities said.

The motorcycle rider was involved in a collision near the entrance gate to Canyon Lake about 5:33 p.m., according to Lt. Dierdre Vickers of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. No other vehicles were involved. The cause of the collision is under investigation and no other details were released.

Railroad Canyon Road was closed for a short time but is now open.
