Three Menifee residents were injured and one is in critical condition after a Tuesday night traffic collision involving an SUV and a motorcycle, authorities said.
The collision was reported at 4:57 p.m. at the intersection of Newport Road and Lone Pine Drive, according to a Menifee Police Department news release. A CBR600 motorcycle, driven by a 20-year-old male, collided with a Toyota Rav4 driven by a 40-year-old female with a 75-year-old female passenger.
Both occupants of the SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and cooperated with the investigation. The motorcyclist was ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries. After being treated by CAL FIRE and American Medical Response personnel, he was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition late Tuesday evening.
All three accident victims are residents of Menifee, but their identities have not been released.
At this time, neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor. The cause of the collision is under investigation and no other details were released.
