Misty McBee honored by council for Teacher of Year award

The Menifee City Council on Wednesday honored Menifee teacher Misty McBee on her selection as the Riverside County Teacher of the Year. This is the first time a teacher from Menifee Union School District has been so honored.

McBee has developed an innovative program of instruction at Harvest Hill STEAM Academy, teaching animatronics to students.

“Misty has an amazing vision of what children can do,” said Dr. Jennifer Root, superintendent of MUSD.

“Thank you for this heartfelt recognition,” McBee said. “I share this with all the teachers. Together, we have created a truly amazing learning environment.”
