Nov. 27 Menifee election update: Estrada leads by 358 votes

Ricky Estrada moved closer to being declared the new Mayor of Menifee Wednesday as he increased his lead in the race. He now leads Lesa Sobek by 358 votes.

In the race for school bond Measure R, “yes” votes continues to lead with 56.20 percent of the votes.

The latest election update shows that approximately 8,300 vote-by-mail ballots and less than 500 Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) ballots remain to be counted throughout the County. The next update won’t be until Monday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m., after the deadline for ballots to be cured.

Here are the latest numbers:

Menifee mayor:
Ricky Estrada 22,236 votes (44.33%)
Lesa Sobek 21,878 votes (43.61%)
Dameon Greene 6,049 votes (12.06%)

Measure R - Bond Measure for Menifee Union School District:
Yes 29,490 votes (56.20%)
No 22,983 votes (43.80%)
