Nov. 14 Mayoral election update: Sobek leads by 139 votes

Lesa Sobek’s lead over Ricky Estrada in the race for Menifee Mayor decreased to 139 in the latest election update released Thursday by the Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

Sobek’s lead going into the day was 170 votes. According to the Registrar, there are still 15,000 vote-by-mail ballots and 35,000 Conditional Voter Registration ballots to be counted throughout Riverside County. The number of Menifee ballots remaining has not been announced.

The race for school bond Measure R has been virtually unchanged. Needing 55 percent to pass, “yes” votes are at 55.71 percent in the latest update.

Ken Calvert has been declared the winner in the race for the U.S. Representative 41st District. Will Rollins conceded on Thursday.

Lesa Sobek 21,316 votes (44.22%)
Ricky Estrada 21,177 votes (43.93%)
Dameon Greene 5,712 votes (11.85%)

City Council District 1:
Bob Karwin 6,738 votes (58.05%)
Mark Harkay 4,869 votes (41.95%)

City Council District 3:
Dan Temple 7,227 votes (66.57%)
Felix Montano 1,910 votes (17.59%)
Gene Recor 1,710 votes (15.75%)
Jay Sno-Fly (write-in) 9 votes
