Heritage's Kalantar named RCOE Teacher of the Year

Nicholis Kalantar celebrates his Teacher of the Year award with some of his students.

Heritage High School teacher Nicholis Kalantar was recently honored as Teacher of the Year by the Riverside County Office of Education.

Kalantar is an RCOE employee who teaches Career Technical Education in a program administered by RCOE. He also supervises members of the student media who film video of sports events and other happenings on campus.

Kalantar was one of several RCOE employees who were surprised last week as they were honored as Employees of the Year. This award makes him eligible for the overall Riverside County Teacher of the Year recognition, in which he will go up against Teachers of the Year from all 23 school districts in Riverside County in May.
