Heritage High teacher arrested for alleged child abuse

A female teacher at Heritage High School was arrested Tuesday following a report of physical assault of a student on campus, police said.

Stacey MacPherson, 54, was placed under arrest for child abuse, according to a news release from the Menifee Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 1:46 p.m. The investigation revealed that an altercation occurred between the teacher and a student.

In response to the incident, the teacher was placed on administrative leave. She was booked and released on bail with a Feb. 10 court date. No other details were released.
