George Mills honored as Menifee's Citizen of the Month

The Menifee City Council this week honored longtime resident George Mills as the city’s Outstanding Citizen of the Month.

Mills has served in many volunteer capacities in the city. He is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, and he has served on the Southwest Healthcare Board of Governors. Mills has also supported the annual Santa’s Workshop, Back to School Supply Drive, and Domestic Violence Shelter.

“It’s a blessing to be able to do this,” said Mills, who gave credit to his wife for working with him on many of his projects.

Mills was nominated for the award by Mayor Pro Tem Dean Deines, who thanked Mills for his service.
